Fat burning basically starts properly after about 30 minutes of physical activity. Of course, at the start, we burn energy, but in the form of sugar, which is stored in our reserves. As this sugar store becomes emptier and emptier in the course of training, fat burning switches on after about 20 to 30 minutes and then runs at full speed.
Therefore, training in the health-oriented range - i.e. at a slightly lower intensity - burns approx. 250 - 350 kcal per hour. If you are more experienced and train more intensively, you can burn approx. 450 - 650 kcal per hour.
